An Italian Summertime Menu Takeover
Chef Hal Riches joins us for the months of January & February and presents a distinctly Italian leaning menu to celebrate all things Summer.
A Canadian chef who fell in love with Australia, and more importantly Melbourne, Hal Riches has developed
his craft in a truly impressive way.
Heading up kitchens of Melbourne institutions Church Street Enoteca and Syracuse and then finding a home at
the original (and best) Di Stasio where he enjoyed
a long 7-year tenure.
Kyneton called, when his wife, Kathryn Russack, opened Colenso on High Street to critical acclaim,
putting Kyneton on the map as
an emerging dining destination.
Hal is bringing decades of experience in high-powered kitchens, a mastery of Italian cuisine, and a love of local producers to our kitchen and to your plates.
As The Age “Espresso” wrote about Hal’s approach to food:
“Very Italian, but with innovation,
rather than simply recycled 90’s technology”.
